This sounds interesting. I've been missing IRC lately. Maybe I'll come have a look-see if I can figure out a way to read the screens in IRC, have no idea what works in there these days, it's been so long.
well, maybe it was the lateness of th ehour. it was 11 o clock at night when i checked it out, but I didn't see anyone there, at least not in the main channel just for chat. it said 2 users, but you never know if people are there or not, since they like to stay logged in whether they want to chat or not. It hard to find my niche on mirc, since most of the people on there have been knowing or talking to each other for years, and it's frustrating when you are only in one or 2 channels, and the conversation is very slow and draggy, because most of the folks in the channel are heavy multitaskers or they're in 19 or even more channels at once. I still have it on my system so I can go on from time to time, but I don't go on it as often because of the cliques, and seeing names in the channels but no talking, and those awful pop ups with colors in them, yikes, I don't mind them in moderation, I mean if they're really short, but some people like to go on and on with them, and poor jaws is going, circumflex circumflex sadilla sadilla sadillls, percent ~ percent~ and a whole bunch of other weird symbols. When it goes on and on like that i just want to scream at whoever is doing it, and when i start feling like that about it, it's time to leave. Short of creating my own blind channel, and making a rule that there will be no pop ups with pictures or lengthy unnecessary text, and kicking those out who disobeyh the rule, there's nothing I can do about it.

ok, load mirc then type this in
/server -m irc.corecodec-irc.net
that will get you on the server
then type
/list
find a room go in you can join more than one room at once
most of us hang out in

all rooms are prefixed with # so don't let that throw you off.

well, I don't know how much a channel name has to do with what a channel is, and I'm not trying to sound mean or critical, but this sounds like a room for chinese opium addicts. I saw that room when i logged in once, and that's why i didn't go in.

Really chan names don't usually mean too much unless they are private chans. as for someone who was looking for one you could use speech with I have two different websites you can check out. I like the first one personally but I give both ones here

He makes MIRC with speech, he also has BOFH net irc up there which is half way between what freedom chat used to be, and some mirc commands.

this is made by the people flint and such from freedom chat now run by Ace.
This also works with your speech, and they are trying to get rid of the freedom chat cliant so it is not recommended that you use it. If you have questions about a few servers or how to set it up send me a private message on the zone.

well, I'm not sure if we have ben on the same irc server or not, I haven't been to some of the larger networks in a while. I feel sort of bored and put off with so many names in a channel, and noone really there. I mean, you see all those names, abouit 9 or more people, but there's no talking. I don't get on mirc very much anymore, but still go on deepspace once in a while. I stay one place for a while, then get bored and go somewhere else. I may go back on deep space tonight for a while. it's already 17 til 8 o loac in the evening so not sure if anyone will be around, but since ii haven't been there in a while, might go and see if there are any newbies since i was there last.

Hey, we are still looking for users come on folks we can handle it. You can also create your own channels on the server thats quite cool with us.
Its nice to be on a server where the admins are nice and willing to help anyone and power trip. alot of the time if you or a few blind users let channel staff know your situation they will help curve the use of excessive popups.
